Wale's Attention:Deficit is here!

0

It's been a long time coming, but his album is finally here. I know cats may have seen me on twitter all day today talking about it, retweeting it, yada yada. I sure have, you know why? Because outside of me being an aspiring rapper, I'm a fan of Hip-Hop. And if you have been following my blog, then you will know I'm a fan of Wale's music. This is the first time in a long time that i've been really excited for a new artists' album. A few have came out that I like, but nothing like this. Lemme tell you, the album is amazing. If you are looking for some music that can make you party, think, and reflect, this album has it all. From Pretty Girls to Shades, I fuck wit this whole album. It was a couple joints that were left off the album that I wish coulda made the cut, but that's how it goes. Big shouts out to J.D. because he introduced me to Wale thru his blog http://thehiphopupdate.blogspot.com . And from that, I became really interested in D.C./DMV music which led me to linking up with some real dope folks from there. *tips fitted*. So go out and buy the album if you fuck wit it. Good Hip-Hop is back in the stores. Now it's time for Cali to get on our shit.

Phonte drops knowledge on movie in a minute...

Phonte is 1/2 or 1/3 of Little Brother. Listen up ladies...some of us appreciate the natural you. No make up, or implants, or chemicals and extra stuff for your hair. You are beautiful, and don't let anyone tell you different. Unless you are a fucked up person...that is the one thing that I personally cannot stand and makes even the most attractive women look ugly.

So Wasssup....

Me, that's what. Been up since 5 something. Can't sleep...so now I'm watching the last 5 episodes from Lost Season 5. Haven't just blogged in a while, and it's loading the episode so I figured why not? But as I sit here tryna think of the next sentence, my mind is not settling on a topic, so I think it will be a series of random thoughts put together in one paragraph.

I'm thinking of a job I can do part time, get some more money. tired of these best buy cats calling my phone, plus I wanna get this mixtape done. I'm not sure exactly where this music thing is going, but I really do think I have something. Hungry as hell, but no breakfast food, and no car to go to the store...and I damn sho ain't walkin, it's cold as hell. On second thought, walking might be good....clear my head. I need to clean up the house. And make an appt for the dentist..fuck. I really need to contact my lady but I think her phone is out of juice. I'mma stop using the word dead for trivial stuff like cell phone batteries...mainly because I don't like my daughter hearing that word. I would like another child. I want a sausage biscuit sandwich with a hash brown from Mickey D's. uhhh, that's all I guess.

Rakim. The Legend.

0

The God emcee, Rakim Allah. Now lemme preface this by saying that I don't know "don't sweat the technique" by heart, nor any of his songs for that matter, but I do acknowledge and respect that Rakim is a LEGEND. And after this show with him and Mos Def, I now understand why he is a legend. If you looked up "emcee" in the dictionary, Rakim would be the only example needed. From the time he stepped on the stage until he dropped the mic, he controlled the crowd like nobody i have seen before. And please understand, Rakim hasn't had an album out in what, 8 years?!? Still had that muthafucka rockin like he had the hottest record out. This was definitely a Hip-Hop moment for me, as well as the Ola homie Vell 4 short. Not only because it was an ill show, and not only because it was only 10$, but because we got dapped up by Rakim himself. I wish I had a camera, but luckily other people did, so check this clip out below.

Now I know, you can't see me, but i was the first hand he shook. And maybe that's wack or stupid to you, but as an aspiring emcee, that shit was doooooope to me. aight...

Until next time...

Alan Grayson = Real Folk

It's funny/fustrating to see how Bill O'Reilly and Fox News spin shit (ironically in their no-spin zone) all the time. But Alan Grayson may be the first politician that i've seen to be able to handle all the BS that Fox news fires and not only that, makes them look foolish in the process. Well done sir.

Until next time...

Adrian Peterson umm, destroys this CB.

This might be the most vicious shit i've seen ever on the gridiron. Respect to Apete.

Bonus:

Chad Ocho Cinco (my favorite player) talks about what he would do if he had to play defense and see Adrian Peterson

HILARIOUS!!! I completely agree!
